     To mark the 65th Anniversary of Mount Rushmore – PROSHADE, a leading consumer eyewear accessories

     company, is prepared to offer up to $4 Million dollars for permission to adorn each president with a designer,

     larger-than-life size PROSHADE visor.  The partnership would provide funds and increase awareness for sun

     protection and minimizing glare.  Additionally, it would bring attention to the need for preservation of the

     enduring national memorial.   

 

    “This is symbolic gesture as well as a practical one.  The National Park Service needs more support in preserving

     Mount Rushmore,” says Richard Lawrence, President of PROSHADE.  “There’s a dearth of funding in the

     budget to provide the national landmark with the facelift it needs.  If they accept, we’d like this to go toward

     preservation efforts.”
